With the reversal of Roe, the push for nationwide comprehensive sex ed is intensifying. Abstinence-based curriculums are attacked by the media as ignorant, archaic, and ineffective. As seen in this New York Post article, comprehensive sex ed is put forth as a solution to unplanned pregnancies and abortion. Planned Parenthood is at the forefront of these efforts.
Our guest speaker, Yvette Monroy, will give an insider’s view into Planned Parenthood’s sex education program and how it grooms youth and teens for sexually promiscuous lifestyles and for abortion.
Yvette volunteered for Planned Parenthood while at California State University, Long Beach, and was brought on staff after graduation. With a background in Psychology and Women, Gender, and Sexuality Studies – Yvette was primed by liberal activists to become a leader for perceived injustices involving police, LGBTQA rights, women’s rights, prostitution, and abortion. She pioneered initiatives with local activists and worked with BLM leader, Patrice Cullers.
While at Planned Parenthood Headquarters in LA, Yvette’s primary advocacy was in Sexual and Reproductive Health. From 2014 to 2016, she taught middle and high school students about sexuality, gender, relationships, pregnancy, transmitted diseases, birth control and all the “options” – including abortion. She also co-led a program within the schools to develop peer advocacy groups in Hollywood, East LA, and South LA. Through this program, she “empowered” teen representatives to be advocates for Planned Parenthood services at their schools and within their communities. Tragically, Yvette taught thousands of students, normalizing early sexual behaviors, gender dysphoria, and abortion.
Yvette encountered the Lord in 2015 during her peak of activism and is grateful for His intervention in her life. She ultimately surrendered her life to serve in full-time ministry and is now dedicated to being a pro-life voice and positive influence.
