Responding to the Heartbeat Law

What a blessing that the Heartbeat Law is now in effect!  More mothers than ever will be seeking help with unplanned pregnancies, and with the spotlight on us, now is our time to step up!

How can you help?

Be present and pray outside abortion facilities.  We cannot just be the people of “No, you cannot abort.”  We must also be the people of “Yes, we are here to help!”

Please come pray and help direct women to area pregnancy care centers.  Many of the women will never know about the help available unless we are outside the abortion locations to inform them.  You will be on the front line of helping women find the resources they and their babies need.

We encourage you to bring a homemade sign offering help so the women know that you have assistance for them.  If you are unsure of what to say or do, we have a resource that can help!  Our Sidewalk Counseling Aid offers some simple guidelines.

Always come with our Health Services List which provides information about pregnancy care centers as well as free and reduced cost well-women exams and STD testing.  You can download the Health Service List at lifefirst.org. We can also make our Gift Bags available to you to give the women.

Please have abortionworker.com on your phone in case an abortion worker comes over to speak to you. This ministry, started by Abby Johnson, helps abortion workers leave the industry. Without workers, abortion facilities cannot stay in business.

Your presence also demonstrates support for pro-life legislation like the Heartbeat Bill to those driving by.  LifeFirst particularly focuses on the Planned Parenthood in Spring at 4747 Louetta Rd but please minister outside whatever abortion facility is best for you.  You can accomplish so much as a frontline prayer volunteer!

Volunteer at Local Pregnancy Centers.

Local pregnancy centers expect an influx of moms seeking help. This is an opportunity to “love them both” by providing physical, emotional, and spiritual support.  LifeFirst works in close partnership with our area’s pregnancy centers.  We reached out for their specific needs.  Below are their responses.

Please also remember the need for increased donations of diapers and baby clothing.
