I cannot believe we are already halfway through this campaign! I attended a 40 Days for life Check-in call yesterday and during the short time we were on the phone, reports of four babies lives being saved came in! Can you imagine if you were the author of one of those stories? If you were the one who had the mother come up and say “Because of you, I’ve chosen life for my child!” We all have an opportunity to be that lifeline for someone and to be present outside of our local Planned Parenthood off Louetta. It can be extremely hard to find time to do even one more thing, but I encourage you to see what can be adjusted (or removed) from your calendar to allow you an hour to go out and pray.
We as Christians are commanded to pray – sometimes that means in the quiet place alone with God, sometimes that means with others and in a more public setting. While praying at home during the 40 Days for Life is great, being out front of Planned Parenthood is a powerful symbol to our community that God is at work. It has been proven time and time again that when prayer partners are out front of abortion facilities, people do not go in. We are all God’s creation and thus are subject to His powerful conviction upon our hearts, even if we sometimes refuse to listen. God convicts when his people show up and stand vigil outside of Planned Parenthood. I encourage you not to let this vigil session end without take even just an hour to go, pray, and stand up for life!
