Roses of remembrance
Join us on Tuesday, September 30, to celebrate the closing of Planned Parenthood Prevention Park—the largest Planned Parenthood facility in the US.
Houston Coalition for Life will be hosting two vigils:
- 9 AM Roses of Remembrance — For every year the facility was in operation (2010-2025), a child born in that year will place a rose on the sidewalk to signify the lives lost in their birth year. It is estimated that 110,000+ lives have been lost in this building. Fr. Lawrence Jozwiak, Pastor of St. Maximilian Kolbe will deliver remarks.
- 12 PM Celebration of Life — We will celebrate the closing of Planned Parenthood’s Prevention Park location and the lives saved through the efforts of pro-life advocates. Rev. Dr. Laurence White of Our Savior Lutheran Church will speak.
LifeFirst will have an information booth at the event to share in the witness of Planned Parenthood’s closure and provide helpful information for continued pro-life involvement. As the local 40 Days for Life sponsor, we will have 40 Days yard signs, books, etc. available. We encourage you to come by anytime as HCFL will have a peaceful presence there all day. This is truly a momentous event in our community’s history. Please come be part of it!
